How to Play
Tilt
Tip the top of the phone away from you to roll forward, and back toward you to reverse

Pan the camera. The katamari always rolls the way the camera faces, so you steer by panning while you tilt
DASH
Hold for a burst of speed. You need it to climb — a slope you crawl at will stop you
RECENTRE
Re-zero the tilt to however you are holding the phone now. Use it whenever you shift position

Pause. From there you can restart or quit
No motion sensor, or you declined the permission? On-screen ▲ and ▼ arrows
appear in place of RECENTRE and drive the katamari instead. Everything else
is identical.

Anything smaller than your katamari sticks to it. Every object you collect makes the
ball bigger, which makes bigger things collectable. Long thin things can be picked up
even when they look too big — they will make you roll strangely until you cover them up.
Slamming into something huge at speed will shake objects loose.
The stage does not end when you hit the goal — it ends when the clock does,
and the size you finish at is the size that counts. Once you have passed the goal
you can press Enter to stop early and bank what you have. If you manage to
roll up absolutely everything, the round closes itself.

Automatic picks touch controls on a device with a touchscreen and no mouse.
Override it if you are on a laptop with a touchscreen, or want to try the
phone controls on a desktop.
Tilt steering rolls the phone to turn, which frees your left thumb entirely.
Arrows are steadier if you are lying down or on a moving train. Falls back to
arrows on its own when there is no motion sensor.
Clears which stages you have opened, your best sizes and the collection log.
Volume, camera and quality settings are kept. There is no undo, so it asks twice.
